Guest Appearance : Inter-Party Conflict with Damian the DM

I am really happy to have been able to guest on Inter-Party Conflict one last time. Unfortunately their show is nearing an end at the end of 2021, wen they reach 250 episodes. Gabe and I have been podfriends for years at this point and I have actually guested on their show 2 time prior, one of which I was joined by Caitlin. It was a great opportunity for us to get questions from their community that I had a knowledge and passion for that they themselves do not. Beyond the creation of a podcast in general, this episode is a great insight to the behind the scenes workings of Adventures in Erylia.

The questions that prompted our discussion were as follows:

1. When recording an Actual Play podcast, what are the best recording software options?
2. What are tips and hacks for short-cutting or expediting the post recording editing process?
3. How do you prevent or reduce side conversations that are fun at a normal game but would distract and annoy a podcast audience?
4. Similarly, how do you strike a balance of getting to know the players and keeping the focus of the pod on the characters?
5. Do you give PCs plot armor in an actual play? What are some reasons for or against?
