This is a long one guys, so get ready for a read. Though before I delve into each of the gods and some of their individual lore, I wanted to state that like with my original attempt at The Daghdha, some of this may change over time. Also, there are quite a few topics left open after covering the gods that I want to get to later. Namely, more about the realm of Caelistra aside from the gods, but also building up lore and stats for each of their weapons. However, before getting to those, my plan for next week is more about the grand city of Mieveht. With that out of the way, enjoy the read, and if there are any questions, please ask.

Weapon – Great Club
Location – The Forest of Eons
Description – The Daghdha is an exceptionally large man, towering over any other human, and staring eye to eye with smaller giants. He is an older man, in his late 50s or early 60s, with broad shoulders and a thicker physique. Though his head is kept shaved and tattooed, he lets his white-streaked, grey beard grow wildly. On special occasions, The Daghdha is known to braid his beard and hold it with iron rings.
As king of Caelistra, The Daghdha wears a simple crown of woven branches, fastened together with rings of silver. Draped about his shoulders is a dark brown cloak, made from the fur of a dire bear. He wields a great club, though with his size only needs one hand to swing it. The club is made of a unique wood. The wood itself is a very dark grown, but it has veins of gold, silver, and bronze running through it, with a ring of each material on its end.

He is a wiry man with elongated features and pale, nearly bone-white skin. Long, flowing, blond hair is draped over his shoulders and runs nearly down to his waist. He carried himself highly and with a slow and deliberate elegance.
Arawn’s domain in Caelistra is the main route into the gods’ realm. He watches over the river that all souls who enter Caelistra must travel on. He wears a long, dark green, set of robes, embroidered in black and white designs. Hanging from his neck is an amulet made of a strange black metal, set with a diamond. Arawn carries and black and white twisted staff and always has a wolf at his side whose colors seem to shift between white and black at will.

Unlike some of the other gods, he only stands slightly taller than most mortal men. Belenus is a master horseman. He chooses to spend much of his time riding and taming wild horses. Though he has no need as a god, he often chooses to get around on a gleaming chariot. The Gilded Steppes are Belenus’ domain. They are a land of wide open fields with smooth rolling hills. The River of Souls flows through here, starting from a lake on the northern edge of The Gilded Steppes. He wears armor of leather straps, fastened with gold clasps, with a cape of spun gold that seems to glow in the sun. He wields a javelin with a golden head that shines with light, even in the darkest of nights.

Brigantia is in charge of tending to Caelistra’s farmlands and livestock. The Plains of Prosperity are the richest and most fertile lands of Caelistra, capable of growing and sustaining any crop or animal imaginable. She has a fairly relaxed look to her, wearing a loose fitting blouse and pants, usually in a brown or white color. She carries a staff that can change itself into many useful forms to help her work the lands. Usually, she has it as a crook, but it can also take the form of a scythe, rake, shovel, or hoe. For protection, she also keeps a light crossbow at her hip that is intricately carved with scenes of The Plains of Prosperity, though she carries no bolts.

Description – Diancecht is an elderly gnome, half blind and deaf, who comes across as fairly aloof. He is a wrinkly gnome with a big nose, white unkempt hair, and big bushy eyebrows. Though he constantly seems to be talking nonsense, he seems to have everything inside his own head organized. Diancecht makes his home in a large, hollowed out oak tree in the center of the Guardians Grove. He is an expert herbalist and medicine man, always experimenting with new combinations of herbs for potions and remedies. There have even been some entirely new and unique herbs created by him crossbreeding them. Diancecht is most often dressed in green pants, cut off mid-calf, with nothing else but a dagger at his hip, with a hilt of twisted vines.

He is one of the only gods that stands up to The Daghdha in size. Dunatis is seldom seen, as he spends most of his time neat the tops of the Endless Peaks. Occasionally, out of curiosity for what is going on beneath the clouds, he will journey to the lower lands. Though he doesn’t need them for warmth, Dunatis likes to wear soft furs and is usually in a fur coat and fur lined boots. At his waist, he carries a hand axe with an intricate mountain range that fades into clouded peaks, etched on both sides of the head.

Description – Goibhniu is a jolly old dwarf with a big round belly and a hearty laugh. Though one of the shorter gods, the way he holds himself with pride and confidence makes him seem as tall as the rest. He keeps his mid-back long hair in a tight braid and his mid-chest beard in two braids, occasionally twisted together. He runs a smithy, using ore taken from the Endless Peaks to forge various arms, armor, and tools for Caelistra. Near his smithy there is a mead hall where the people of Caelistra will come to feast. While he lacks the knowledge of herbs and nature that make Diancecht an expert healer, Goibhniu has an understanding of the physical body that makes him an excellent aid in healing. His chosen hammer is metal all throughout, with flames engraved on the head. It is warm to the touch and it is said that metal only needs to be heated once while struck with this hammer.

The Harborage of Trials is not only a port to the Sea of Lost Souls, but the surrounding area is home to an arena and a museum of art. Lugh spends much of his time in the arena, training, and occasionally challenging other gods and mortals. Though he is a master combatant with his shield and spear, he also appreciates art, which shows through his fighting style. Most of his time out on the sea is spent seeking out lost souls and helping to guide them towards Caelistra. He wields an ancient longsword, turned a slight blue from it’s time in his possession, that is said to be powerful enough to cut the very sea itself.

Description – Math Mathonwy is an exceptionally old and wise gnome. Looking at him, it is clear that he has aged beyond any mortal gnome, though as he moves and acts, there is a clear hidden strength within. He has silver white hair that sprouts from his ears, forms long bushy eyebrows, and flows into a heard so long he almost trips on it. Math Mathonwy’s domain, the Sanctum of Study, is a castle-like structure that floats within a crater caused by one of his experiments millennia ago. He could fix it is he wished, but likes the extra isolation it affords him. This was the inspiration for the mages who raised Tel Vashiir. The castle is riddled with libraries, herbs gardens, and alchemy labs for experimenting with magic. Within the folds of his robes, Math Mathonwy has a wand made of a strange black metal, inscribed with runes that glow a deep purple. He also carries a book that is filled with blank pages, but will show anything previously written in it.

Description – The Morrigan are three gods as they are one. They are three sisters who can act independently, or as one. Each sister represents one of war, death, and fate. They all wear long, skin-tight, black dresses, that drag on the ground behind them. Their skin is a dark purple, while their eyes and tail are black. Each of them wears a single crows feather as a piece of jewelry, and it is the main way to tell which one is front of you. War wears and earing. Death wears a bracelet. And fate wears a necklace. The Morrigan lives in The Forgotten Wood, a forest that is as dark as night, even in the middle of the day. They do not tend to venture outside of the wood, and few of the gods are willing to venture to them, often leaving them alone to do as they wish. They carry a twisted scythe with the visage of a crow carved into the top and its break forming the blade.

Silvanus is also the only god who refuses to have a weapon forged for him, and instead has chosen to infuse a lute with his magic. The music played by his lute will gain the attention of all who hear it, and those that chose to listen and join his song find themselves happier and more well off than they were before.
